The book is as expected. New and what I thought I had ordered. There was a problem with the delivery, but I called Moluna and they had DHL fix the delivery. I had to call Moluna to get the delivery fixed, but they were nice and the book was delivered 2 days after I called them.

Il existe classiquement deux manières de présenter les mathématiques rencontrés dans les sciences physiques : l'approche rigoureuse appréciée par les mathématiciens et l'approche appliquée préférée par les ingénieurs. Ces deux approches sont parfois considérées comme étant exclusive ; une approche rigoureuse banissant ainsi une approche intuitive et vis versa.Ce livre arrive à trouver exactement le juste milieu entre ces 2 approches et par ce fait , il est relativement unique dans son genre. On sent que les auteurs possèdent une expérience pédagogique bien rodée : tout est clair et bien présenté.Le livre est partagé en 3 sections : algèbre, "calculus" (équivalent à l'analyse réelle et complexe) et enfin analyse vectorielle. Chaque section est composée d'une plusieurs sous-sections (10 pour l'algèbre , 9 pour le calculus et 7 pour l'analyse vectrorielle). Un ordre de progression est proposé au début du libre afin le matériel nécessaire pour aborder un sous-chapitre a déjà été abordé précédement. Une série d'exercice est proposé à la fin de chaque section. Les solutions détaillées des exercices impairs sont disponibles à la fin de l'ouvrage.En conclusion : EXCELLENTE OUVRAGE !!!

Bereits das ausführliche Inhaltsverzeichnis überzeugt und motiviert. Der logische Aufbau und die Gründlichkeit im Detail für die Hauptgebiete Lineare Algebra, Analysis und Vektor-Analysis sind super und Zusammenhänge werden klar. Nach möglicherweise anfänglich langsamerem Vorankommen ist das absichtlich in Englisch gehaltene Buch sprachlich kein Hindernis. Das Buch enthält viele Beispiele für die allgemeinen mathematischen Konzepte in Anwendungen der Physik.
