Prof. Shina has written another excellent and useful book for both the practicing engineer and the novice engineering student. It contains a wealth of information on contemporary engineering concepts and practice that will serve as a resource of information for learning about project management and doing it successfully. A quick survey of the contents will indicate comprehensive coverage of the considerations, insight, and tools necessary for effective engineering project management. Inclusion of real business case studies makes it even more effective in demonstrating the concepts presented. Extensive lists of References for each chapter show the depth of Prof. Shina's research on this topic and provides additional resources for the interested reader. Discussion Topics and Problems at the end of each chapter makes it that much more useful for learning and teaching At some point in their career, most engineers will be asked to manage an engineering project. The skills necessary for success in project management can be quite different from those of simply working on a project. And success in project management will generally open up new and promising career options. This book provides the tools necessary for this management success. I highly recommend it.
